Unitary brings zero-integration automation to UK brokers through BIBA partnership

Unitary has joined the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) as an associate member, strengthening its commitment to supporting the UK broker community.

Unitary, the automation platform helping businesses reduce manual repetitive work without costly, multi-year overhauls, has joined the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) as an associate member, strengthening its commitment to supporting the UK broker community.

Following strong momentum working with managing general agents (MGAs) and the launch of its Virtual Agents for Insurance product, Unitary’s membership marks a natural next step in expanding its engagement with brokers as they look to modernise operations, reduce administrative burden and scale more efficiently in a highly regulated environment.

Through its work with MGAs, Unitary has demonstrated how automation can take on complex operational workflows without the need for system integrations or disruptive IT projects, an approach increasingly relevant to brokers navigating legacy systems and growing customer expectations. In its work with US-based MGA, Attune, Unitary’s Virtual Agents helped cut costs by 50% and boost customer satisfaction by 19%, with more than 99% of BPO operations being automated in just five weeks.

Unitary is already working with brokers to automate client onboarding, policy admin, quality checks and application ingestion. Now, by joining BIBA, Unitary aims to make this technology available to the wider broker community in the UK by collaborating more closely with brokers and BIBA’s 1,800 member firms to accelerate the practical and trustworthy adoption of automation across the market. General insurance brokers contribute 1% of GDP to the UK economy, arranging 77% of all general insurance with a premium totalling £105.5bn and 94% of all commercial insurance business.

Sasha Haco, Founder and CEO of Unitary, said:

“Brokers sit at the heart of the UK insurance market, yet many are still weighed down by manual processes and fragmented systems. Having seen the impact automation can have for MGAs, we’re excited to work with BIBA and its members to help brokers adopt automation across areas including client onboarding, application ingestion and carrier reporting, in a way that is practical, reliable and suited to regulated environments. This is about freeing teams from repetitive work so they can focus on clients, advice and growth.”

Unitary’s work with BIBA reflects its broader ambition to support insurance firms across the distribution chain as they look to deploy automation safely, without sacrificing accuracy, oversight or compliance.
